April 1st marks the official launch date of The Mission Theatre’s 2017 Bath Fringe programme of events. This exciting, vibrant Festival takes place in the city every year, and The Mission has hosted a huge range of Fringe shows over the last decade. This year we’ve got our biggest line up yet! On Friday 26th May, The Mission is hosting the opening night party - where performers, organisers, venue staff and patrons will come together to enjoy musical entertainment, sneak-peaks of forthcoming Fringe shows and the chance to kick off the 2017 Fringe Festival in style!
The Mission’s buzzing Fringe Hub will also welcome customers for the first time during the evening, and will then be open every day over the next fortnight as the perfect spot in which to relax, refresh, catch up with the latest Fringe news and reviews and enjoy impromptu music, spoken word, and post-show discussions.
From Saturday 27th - Tuesday 30th May, Bath Spa University’s OnSet Productions are then taking over The Mission’s Main Auditorium to perform up to four different shows a day!
From Thursday 1st - 3rd June we have the dynamic, diverse and delightful dancers from Novato returning to The Mission to celebrate their 10th Birthday.
On Sunday 4th June talented local company Brave Bold Drama will be performing two shows for families and young children, and, in the evening, we welcome stand-up comedian Luke Graves to our Main Auditorium.
On Monday 5th June students from Exeter University’s ‘Theatre With Teeth’ are making their Bath Fringe debut with a unique play based on the life of Virginia Woolf.
From Tuesday 6th - Thursday 8th June we welcome back ThreeDumb Theatre who last performed at The Mission with a beautiful play about WW1 poets Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfrid Owen. This time though, they are bringing something entirely different!
During Friday 9th and Saturday 10th June both Bath University Student Theatre and students from Bath College’s performing arts department will be performing a total of three separate plays.
You can download a copy of The Mission Theatre’s Fringe Flyer here, and for much more information about each of the shows, visit the What’s On pages of the website.
We look forward to welcoming many of you to one of the many exciting Fringe Festival events taking place at The Mission Theatre next month.
